Lee County inspections: 76 flying insects at Bonita Springs seafood chain restaurant

Seven food-service establishment licensed for seating received zero violations in mid-July health and safety inspections: the Domino's Pizza at 1127 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres; the McDonald's at 1245 Homestead Road N., Lehigh Acres; the Five Guys Burgers And Fries at 16230 Summerlin Road, Suite 201, Health Park, Fort Myers; Toasted Cafe, 11501 Canal Grande Drive, Fort Myers; Bahama Bar, 11501 Canal Grande Drive, Fort Myers; the Chick-Fil-A at 21900 S. Tamiami Trail, Estero; and the McDonald's at 1530 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.

No food trucks, mobile vendors, caterers or food-service establishments not showing a seating license received a spotless inspection report in mid-July.

76 flying insects at Bonita Springs restaurant

Health inspectors July 11 visited Bonefish Grill, 26381 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite D, Bonita Springs, and found six violations.

A "high-priority" violation was for a total 76 small, flying insects: nine in back by office in dry storage, five in kitchen server station, five by kitchen coffee station, 12 on dish shelves in dishwashing area and 45 on wall and wood shelves at front of bar area.

A follow-up visit July 12 found the restaurant met inspection standards.
