Lea Michele and Zandy Reich are a prime example of the classic friends-to-lovers trope, and I, for one, am here for it. Though the couple is pretty low-key, they've managed to clue fans in to *a lot* of cute milestones in their 'ship, from their engagement to the birth of their baby Ever Leo Reich. With all that said, let the deep dive on Lea and Zandy's love story commence! *Clears throat* Ahem! Let’s first throw things back to…

Lea had sleuthy fans working overtime, because this Instagram was a precursor for many Zandy-filled posts to come. In the caption, Lea reflected on her 30th birthday the year prior and revealed Zandy was right when he told her it would be “the best year of [her] life.” Hindsight truly = 20/20 in this case!

It doesn't take *too* long for the couple to get engaged in the Hamptons. Zandy gave Lea a true stunner of a ring, and, yes, I have every intention of adding a pic of it to my Pinterest board..you know, for ~manifesting~ a similar one lol.

“I think the first thing I said to him was, ‘Stop joking around!’ So I was super surprised,” Lea told People of Zandy's proposal. “Everyone said, ‘Try to be present because it’ll happen so quickly.’ Which I didn’t listen to at all and blacked out and I barely remember. We both blacked out and were like, ‘What? Did we say yes? Is this happening?’” 🥺❤️

Lea shared more happy engagement content:

Apparently, Zandy designed the 4-carat elongated radiant cut ring (oof, talk about a mouthful!) with Leor Yerushalmi and the Jewelers of Las Vegas. “He really took care of everything himself. I think he knows me well enough but I give him all of the credit, and obviously the designer, but he really surprised me and did an amazing job,” Lea said to People when talking about the 💍.

Many of Lea's friends came together to throw her a festive engagement party, which the Glee alum talked about on her socials.

“These amazing and beautiful best friends of mine threw me and Z the most incredible engagement party last night! 👰🏻✨💍,” she wrote on Instagram alongside pics of herself posing with friends JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Stephanie Levinson.

The pair tied the knot at a star-studded wedding in Northern California—with the hashtag #IfIWereAReichGirl, no less. “We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family,” the newlyweds told People before adding, “Most of all, we’re so happy to spend the rest of our lives together.” Per the mag, the duo decided to share the day with over 200 family members and friends, including Lea's fellow Glee actors Darren Criss and Becca Tobin, and her Scream Queens co-star Emma Roberts.

“They are loving the feeling of being married and getting to call each other husband and wife,” a source told E! News exactly a month after Lea and Zandy's wedding. “They didn’t want it to end and are still remembering more and more details they had forgotten.” S'cute!

Lea and Zandy were officially growing their family! People reported the news, saying Lea and Zandy were beyond excited to have a baby. “They’ve always wanted to be parents.”

Fans asked, Lea listened, and the world finally confirmed her baby news thanks to an adorable pic on Instagram.

Multiple sources open up about the exciting chapter in the couple's lives to Life and Style, saying, “Lea couldn’t be happier to be pregnant, but like most first-time moms, she’s slightly nervous about the birth, especially with all the craziness going on in the world”—a refresher: at the time, everyone was still living through the first COVID wave, so the sentiment definitely makes sense. Another insider added Lea was “open to having the baby at home. She’s very spiritual like that and is even researching water birth.”

As for how Zandy took the baby news? Apparently, he'd always “surprise Lea with flowers, romantic dinners at home and [give] her massages when she’s feeling tired and achy” and couldn't “wait to become a dad,” per another source.

The couple's first child, Ever Leo Reich, was born, and Lea's timeline ever since has been filled to the brim with the cutest content ever. Case in point? This beachy pic:

After she safely gave birth, Lea began sharing more intimate details about her pregnancy, including some of the more difficult moments brought on as a result of her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis at age 30. During a later appearance on Katherine Schwarzenegger's Instagram Live series Before, During, & After Baby, she explained that having an irregular cycle because of PCOS made it hard to get pregnant, and her journey to motherhood was therefore “really complicated” from the start. “Emotionally, it just started to build and build,” Lea confessed.

Even after getting pregnant, several complications wound up making Lea's day-to-day “very intense” and “very scary”—feelings she expanded on when speaking with Drew Barrymore on her eponymous show. During the interview, Lea admitted the entire ordeal somehow managed to sneak its way into her relationship with Zandy in a surprising way: “Having our son and experiencing the challenges that we did throughout the pregnancy, was something that unfortunately created a stronger bond in us—that I would never wish on anybody—but it did.”

The singer debuts a lullaby album, which covers songs by everyone from Guns N' Roses and Kacey Musgraves to Christina Perri, and is dedicated to none other than Ever Leo. Lea talked about the inspiration behind the project with People, saying:

“As an artist, I've always loved the idea of making a lullaby album, but throughout my pregnancy and this year with my baby, that passion has grown even more. I had a very intense pregnancy as I've spoken about publicly and that's when I started to use music to help calm my baby inside of me, to let him know that even though I might be very scared, and there may be a lot that's unknown, but no matter what that he was going to be OK and that we were OK...Whether I was singing songs to him or playing music for him in my belly, music was my way of communicating with him to let him know that everything was going to be fine. And then when we were so blessed with the gift of him being born I started using my voice in a way that I never had before: to sing to my son. I've never enjoyed singing more than I do now, so making this album, Forever, is such a dream come true for me in so many ways.”

The couple celebrated their 3-year wedding anniversary, and Lea shared more wedding pics of herself and Zandy from the big day.

The celeb posted a hilarious TikTok that not-so-subtly nodded to her husband. In the vid, Lea did a transition set to Taylor Swift's song “I Did Something Bad” with the phrase “when your husband tells you not to cut bangs” written across the screen.

Aaaaaand that's how Lea and Zandy are doing! Make sure to check back in as we update this piece with more intel (and hopefully more TikToks!).
