Lea Michele may not have been a nominee at the 2023 Tony Awards, but she certainly was one of the stars of the night.

During the June 11 broadcast, the Glee alum took to the stage at the United Palace Theater in New York City to perform a number from Funny Girl for Broadway's biggest night.

On her headline making performance, Michele wrote on Instagram June 12, "I thought a lot about what to say for this post. There’s so much to say. But the simple truth is that...I’ve waited my whole life for this moment. An actual dream come true and an unbelievable honor to finally be Fanny Brice at the Tony Awards."

Unsurprisingly, for the awards show, Michele performed "Don't Rain On My Parade," easily the most famous song sung by her character, Fanny Brice. However, this isn't the first time that Michele has belted out the Funny Girl anthem at the Tonys, which explains why she specified in her note that she got to be in character for the performance.

As fans of Glee well know, after her character, Rachel Berry, belted the tune in season one of the Ryan Murphy-created comedy, Michele was invited to perform the show's rendition at the 2010 Tony Awards.

Of course, Michele wasn't the only Glee alum to garner praise at the 2023 awards show. Alex Newell, who played Unique Adams between 2012 and 2015 on the musical series, made history as the first out nonbinary performer to win a Tony.

They were honored with a win in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role category for their work in Shucked.

Michele commemorate Newell's win by sharing a selfie of the two of them, writing, "Congratulations @thealexnewell!!!!"
