Lea Michele and Other Former "Glee" Stars Shared Tributes to Cory Monteith

“The light always remains"

Whether she’s reuniting with the crew for karaoke or making costar Jonathan Groff her maid of honor, Lea Michele is always happy to show love to her former Glee cast members. Cory Monteith, her former boyfriend and on-screen love interest as Finn Hudson, is certainly no exception. On Saturday, July 13, six years after Cory's death, the actress paid tribute to him through a solemn and meaningful tweet.

“The light always remains,” the tweet reads, alongside a single red heart emoji. Her words are accompanied by a photo of sunlight peeking through clouds over a body of water.

As E! News pointed out, the tribute is similar to the one Leah tweeted last year on the five year anniversary of Cory’s passing, which featured a similar photo and the caption "There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone, the light remains."

Other members of the Glee cast also took to social media to honor Cory. “The sweetest boy. Forever,” Kevin McHale, who played Artie, captioned a photo of Cory on Instagram. Amber Riley, who played Mercedes, posted an adorable candid of she and Cory flexing their muscles with the caption “6 years without those bear hugs.” Jenna Ushkowitz, or Tina on the show, shared a picture of Cory in a tuxedo and simply captioned it “Miss you pal.”

Since the tragic passing of the actor in 2013, Lea has been extremely vocal about her love for him, expressing it in the form of several powerful tattoos and even an original song. She and the entire Glee family have made it clear: Cory will never be forgotten.
