Le Creuset’s Newest Colors Celebrate Everything You Love About the Coast

This week, Le Creuset introduced their two newest colors, Oyster and Marine. Inspired by life on the coast, the Coast to Coast collection reflects the vibrant hue of sothing waters and craggy shores. These shades join other coastal-inspired colors, including Caribbean, Palm, and Dune.

Oyster, a cool gray with blue undertones, is designed to embody the cold pebbly shores of cool coasts and the sturdy rocks of warm oases. Each piece features a gradation of gray, from darker around the edges to lighter in the center. Its subdued tone would earn many years of use as a Dutch oven, or look beautiful as a stand-alone platter for seaside family celebrations.

Marine is yet another beautiful blue in the brand’s lineup of watery tones. Marseille, the brand’s iconic blue, is royal and elegant, while Marine strikes a blue-green note you’ll recognize from the deepest parts of ocean water. Add a pop of breezy color to your kitchen with a pitcher, or splurge on a kettle for a stove-stop statement maker.

Unlike other recent color launches, including their Oasis line, Oyster and Marine will be a part of Le Creuset’s permanent collection. They will not have a schedule end date for availability, so if you’ve been eyeing starting your collection or wish to add complementary colors to your existing dishes, you’ve got time on your side.

A third coastal-inspired color, Ocean, is currently available exclusively on Williams-Sonoma.com. A deep gray with hints of blue and green, Ocean is reminiscent of a stormy marine scene, just before the clouds roll in. A steeper gradient of color is more noticeable on these pieces, with a darker charcoal gray fading into the green-blue shade. As with many exclusive colors, Ocean may not be a long-term addition to the Le Creuset line, so snatch up a piece if you’re in love with it.
