One look around social media may have you wondering how people across the country are unwrapping beautiful boxes of Le Creuset for just $50. The answer is: Le Creuset Mystery Boxes.
On TikTok and Instagram, videos of excited consumers unwrapping mystery boxes to reveal dutch ovens, tea kettles, mini round cocottes, coffee mugs, and more have ignited the internet.
“The amount of envy I have coursing through my body,” one user wrote on an unboxing video of a Mystery Box that contained a Le Creuset stock pot, dutch oven, three coffee mugs, casserole dish with lid, and pan. The items in the box retail for $882, but the user received everything for just $50.

What Is A Le Creuset Mystery Box?
Mystery Boxes are only available at Le Creuset’s Factory to Table Destination Events that are hosted in various cities nationwide. The first Factory to Table event of 2024 was held in San Antonio and the second will take place in Washington, D.C. June 6-9, 2024. In 2023, events took place in Phoenix, Philadelphia, and Minneapolis.
“Mystery Boxes are a coveted VIP perk containing at least $350 retail value worth of unknown Le Creuset products and are only available for purchase on Thursday,” a representative for Le Creuset tells Southern Living.
How To Get A Le Creuset Mystery Box
Mystery Box purchases are limited to one box per attending ticket holder and require a $150 minimum purchase at the event. Registered ticket holders must be present to purchase a Mystery Box. Mystery Boxes are not eligible for refund, return or exchange.
“Although our D.C. event is sold out, we look forward to welcoming fans at one more location later this year,” the representative says, adding that consumers should pay attention to their website and social media for “more details to come.”
Outside of Mystery Boxes, Le Creuset Factory to Table sales feature exclusive access to a vast selection of Le Creuset’s premium cookware, including limited-edition colors and rare shapes and styles not typically found in the U.S.

Why Did Le Creuset Start Mystery Boxes?
Mystery Boxes were initially brought to Le Creuset Factory to Table events and stocked with unique products Le Creuset fans and collectors love to find.
“We wanted a way to surprise and delight our dedicated consumers with sought after colors, shapes, and sizes,” the representative says. “Since we don't always have enough stock of these select products for us to sell online, they go into Mystery Boxes.”
The brand tells Southern Living the virality of the boxes has been unexpected. “We are continually blown away by our passionate fans and love sharing in their excitement in this way,” the representative says.
What's Inside Le Creuset Mystery Boxes?
Every Le Creuset Mystery Box contains at least $350 worth of products. In addition to regular overstock merchandise, Mystery Boxes may contain factory seconds.
“This means the products are still the same great quality you expect from Le Creuset, but may have minor manufacturing or cosmetic flaws or missing packaging that doesn’t meet our rigorous quality standards for retail merchandise,” the Le Creuset representative says.
The most popular item to find? “Our iconic Le Creuset Dutch Oven in all sizes and colors is definitely a popular find in the Mystery Boxes,” the representative says.
