Oh, Frito-Lay, you keep teasing us with putting Lay’s Fried Pickles with Ranch Flavored chips on and off the shelves. But we’re at the point where they’re currently on shelves, so all is right with the world! For a limited time, you can enjoy the fried food as an in-bag snack.

These chips first came out in 2018 as part of Lay’s Tastes of America, with this flavor representing the Midwestern state fairs, which often serve fried pickles with ranch dipping sauce. The offering has been on and off the market ever since, so if you haven’t had the chance to try them yet, now is the time! The 15.25-ounce bag is available at Sam’s Club now.

We know that some of these unusual snack flavors can be a bit intimidating, but let’s think about this logically. You have the taste of fried pickles and ranch concocted into a crunchy chip that you can have at any time you please. What could possible go wrong?

It’s a good day to hit up the snack aisle, because Frito-Lay’s Lay’s has surprised us by bringing back a fan-favorite. The Fried Pickles with Ranch Flavored chips have returned to give us a summer-inspired bite a little early.

This chip flavor first came out in 2018 as part of Lay’s Tastes of America, along with seven other varieties. It came back again in 2019 and, now, it’s here for a 2021 snack. The Fried Pickles with Ranch chips were inspired by the fried pickles you’d find at a state fair in the Midwest. You’ll definitely taste the pickle element, as well as the ranch and sour cream flavors.

The good news is that it shouldn’t be too hard to find the Lay’s Fried Pickles with Ranch chips. They’re listed on Sam’s Club’s website in 15.25-ounce bags. The flavor was also recently spotted at Dollar General for $3.25 each or two bags for $5 by Instagram account @junkfoodinthetrunk3.

Along with the return is a revamp in the packaging. You’ll notice a clear “limited time flavor” banner across the top, which has been the design for limited-edition flavors like the Game Day Chili and Salted Caramel varieties. Oh, Lay’s. When are you just going to make our dreams came true and make this a permanent flavor?!
