Olivia Benson cannot be stopped!

NBC has confirmed that Law & Order: SVU will get Season 25, further cementing its status as the longest-running primetime live-action series in U.S. history, a title the show achieved when it kicked off its 21st season in September 2019. Since then, Captain Benson and the crew have survived a global pandemic and the loss of two team members (Amanda Rollins, played by Kelli Giddish, and Vice Officer Katriona Tamin, played by Jamie Gray Hyder).

Perhaps most importantly, Elliott Stabler (Christopher Meloni) rejoined the franchise for Law & Order: Organize Crime, making several guest appearances on SVU as the will-they-or-won't-they Bensler storyline heats up.

SVU's Season 24 hasn't wrapped just yet, but fans are already wondering what will happen in Season 25, which is officially a go. We did our best Fin and Benson impressions, and dug up some clues on what's next for the popular procedural. Cue all the dun duns.

Has 'SVU' been renewed for a season 25?

Yes. On April 10, 2023, NBC announced that Law & Order: SVU would get a Season 25.

When will SVU season 25 premiere?

Law & Order: SVU does not have an exact premiere date just yet, but typically, the show's season premiere happens in late September.

Who is in the 'Law & Order: SVU' season 25 cast

The Season 25 cast has yet to be announced, but here's who we can expect to see on the Fall 2023 lineup.

Law & Order: SVU without Mariska Hargitay would be like Christmas morning without presents. She's played Olivia Benson since the show premiered in 1999 and is now an executive producer.

Ice-T as Det. Odafin "Fin" Tutuola

The man behind Sargeant Odafin "Fin" Tutuola recently addressed his future on the series on an episode of the Tonight Show.

"I'm gonna stay on until the wheels fall off," said Ice-T, who was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "Black people don't jump off boats, especially when they're still floating, you understand? We ain't leaving."

Peter Scanavino as ADA Dominick Carisi

We first met Dominick Carisi in season 16 when he was a detective in SVU. He's gone on to become an assistant district attorney and husband to Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish). Peter Scanavino hasn't addressed his future, but it seems likely he'd rejoin the cast in Season 25.

Octavio Pisano as Det. Joe Velasco

The junior detective recently came under fire for his role in an open murder case. But he hasn't given any indication he's leaving the series, which he joined in season 23 after Vice Officer Katriona Tamin left.

Molly Burnett as Detective Grace Muncy

Molly Burnett joined the cast as Detective Grace Muncy at the beginning of the 24th season, ahead of Rollins's exit. She joined SVU from the Bronx gang unit, and her new boss Capt. Benson has had some issues with her "Millennial" attitude and wardrobe. But it doesn't appear she's getting the boot at this time.

Kevin Kane as Det. Terry Bruno

Det. Terry Bruno got a whole lot of money when he sued Bronx SVU for wrongful termination. Fin has taken a liking to him, as has Benson, who is trying to piece together a squad after losing two trusted team members (Rollins and Tamin) in two years. Will he return for another season? There's no reason to think he won't.

Jasmine Batchelor as Officer Toni Churlish

New Amsterdam alum Jasmine Batchelor plays Officer Toni Churlish in season 24. Churlish wants in as a member of the SVU team. She's dedicated, but her personality has clashed with Muncy and blind ambition hasn't always sat well with Benson. It's unclear if she'll make the cut, but there's no indication she won't right now.

Will Christopher Meloni return to 'SVU'?

Though Christopher Meloni, who plays Elliott Stabler, now headlines the cast of Organized Crime, he has found time to make several guest appearances on SVU since returning to the Law & Order franchise on April 1, 2021 (the episode was appropriately named "Prodigal Son"). His fate on SVU is still unclear. But now that Organized Crime and SVU have both picked up for new seasons, it wouldn't be surprising if he joined forces with maybe-flame Olivia Benson once again. Perhaps the two will figure out if they will or won't.
