‘Law & Order’ Brilliantly Spoofs Taylor Swift’s ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Cover

Fans of Law & Order who are also Swifties got the ultimate gift on Feb. 7, when the popular crime drama shared a fun spoof of Taylor Swift's upcoming album cover for The Tortured Poets Department, but this time, Christopher Meloni was the star.

The official Instagram account for the TV show shared their version of the moody image on Wednesday, with the picture featuring the large off-white border and text reading, "The Tortured Detectives Department," over a photo of Meloni dressed as his character, Elliot Stabler, as he lounged on a couch, with his elbow posed to hold his head up.

"I can fix him (no really i can)," read the caption, which is one of the track titles for Swift's new release. The image did a great job emulating the official cover, photographed by Beth Garrabrant, which shows Swift lying down on a pile of pillows on a bed, with only half of her face visible.

Fans went wild for "The Tortured Detectives Department," with comments that included, "Yall are so real for this," "It really must be torture to look that good," and "🔥🔥🔥🔥 calendars now."

Quite a few referenced Stabler and Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson, a couple that fans have been wishing would get together on the show for years: "Only Olivia can fix him. So come on, already, you two!"

"My girl liv wrote this song huh??" joked someone else.

It seems like the album cover spoof has become a trend, as even the National Parks Service got in on it, sharing a snap of a bison sitting on the ground in Yellowstone with the text, "The National Parks Department," over it.

They also added an important message, using this as an opportunity to remind people to stay clear of wildlife, writing, "Let wildlife be wild and observe from a distance and avoid ending up in a cast or the subject of a hit single."

Swift's surprise new album, which she announced at the Grammys in an acceptance speech, will officially be released on April 19.
