Laverne Cox's beautiful bikini photo made a fan 'feel like a toe.' Then the actress responded.

Laverne Cox knew exactly what to say to a fan who was feeling “like a toe.”

On Friday, @EmilieMae98 tweeted at the transgender star that the photos Cox posts on to social media — the most recent ones featuring her in a bathing suit and in a glam room — are “too beautiful” and make the tweeter’s confidence plummet.

However, the Orange Is the New Black actress pointed out that she was not trying to make anyone “feel like a toe,” but was trying to “inspire” instead.

Her followers were loving her supportive response and replied with every version of “Yasss queen” under the sun.

She also called on the fan to make the most of what the fan has been given, which is excellent advice. Cox regularly posts stunning photos on her Instagram account, which may have been what the fan was responding to.

It’s not surprising Cox had such strong, kind words for her fan. She has always been supportive of others finding self-confidence and strength.

“I think that a lot of the reason I was bullied is because there was a light that I had as a kid that the other kids saw, and they were afraid of it,” Cox, who grew up in Alabama, told designer Zac Posen (a board member of Yahoo Lifestyle’s parent company, Oath, a division of Verizon) in a episode of Yahoo Lifestyle’s “Loud and Clear” video series.

She had to overcome the many doubts she had about herself, she said, that came from “internalizing a lot of the bullies who said I could never do this or that, and then being really, really hard on myself, and in the process dimming the light that I’ve always had.”
