Lauren London Talks New Puma Collab Inspired by Personal Journey & Finding Inner Peace

Lauren London and Puma are back for another collab. For her third collection, the actress looked inwards for inspiration.

“I always want to represent where I am in the moment. And I feel like a theme that has been really prevalent in my life recently is just how I keep protecting the little amount of peace that I can acquire,” London told FN.

Aptly titled “Protect Your Peace,” the line is centered on comfort and ease, as well as product that is meant to empower.

London emphasized the importance of boundaries when cultivating her own inner harmony.

“I like being in solitude, I like being with my kids. You have to really practice,” she said. “Boundaries are not necessarily to keep people away from you, but it’s actually just honoring the space you need for yourself. Before I do anything in the morning, I really try to connect with God, connect with purpose and allow that to lead the way in my day.”

Footwear styles in the collection include the Puma x Lauren London Suede sneaker detailed with London’s favorite color purple and a yin yang decal on the heel, which serves as a reminder to always keep life in balance.

The “You People” star said she personally likes to pair the Suedes with an oversized suit or cargos.

There’s also the Puma x Lauren London RS-TRCK shoe, featuring a chunky sole, natural tones and purple accents. London said she wore the RS-TRCK sneaker to hike the Sedona vortexes for her campaign shoot.

For the apparel, London was inspired by her great grandmother’s ’90s tracksuits.

“I just remember the sound of the tracksuits when she walked in or if we had somewhere to go. It was my way of honoring a beloved ancestor of mine,” she said about the collection. “I’ve also always been really drawn to purple. It’s been my favorite color since I was a kid. And one of my favorite crystals is Amethyst so I just wanted to be true to the things that I like and incorporate them into what I’m codesigning.”

The collab includes a long-sleeve tee, detailed with a “protect your peace” graphic, along with a track jacket and pants.

The Puma x Lauren London Protect Your Peace capsule collection will be available starting Nov. 11 on Puma.com, the Puma mobile app, the Puma NYC Flagship store and select retailers in North America. It retails from $50 to $130.

London’s first collection with Puma, “Forever Stronger,” was inspired by her hometown of Los Angeles and represented her strength, perseverance, authenticity and love. Pieces in the capsule were decorated with a tiny blue heart as a nod to late rapper and partner Nipsey Hussle.

London has been outspoken about grief and her struggles since Hussle was fatally shot in 2019.

She said, “I always say there’s a purpose to pain. I feel like if I can share [my experience] and potentially make someone not feel alone in their process, then there was purpose. I do believe that we are a collective and that we are here to serve each other.”
