Lauren Graham Embodies Prince in Velvet Outfit for Book Event

The actress is promoting her new book, 'Have I Told You This Already?'

Lauren Graham is currently celebrating the release of her new book, Have I Told You This Already? Stories I Don't Want to Forget to Remember, which came out on Nov. 15.

On Dec. 13, she had a special event in New York City entitled Lauren Graham in Conversation with Sam Pancake, during which she talked in-depth about the book and answered questions from fans.

Graham showed up to the event dressed like a star in a full purple velvet suit, looking like she was purposely channeling Prince.

Underneath the suit jacket, Graham rocked a sparkling blue shirt that completed the look. The actress and writer chose to wear minimal jewelry and let the clothing stand out on its own.

Following the 2016 release of Graham's first book of personal essays, the New York Times bestseller, Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between), Graham's new book is another collection of stories about her life and career that shows off her wit and unique voice.

The new book is perfect for fans of her previous books and acting work.

Graham is most well-known for starring as Lorelai Gilmore alongside Alexis Bledel in Gilmore GirlsShe also starred as Sarah Braverman in the critically-acclaimed series Parenthood from 2010 to 2015 and Joan in the fan-favorite show Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.

The 55-year-old currently stars in the Disney+ reboot series, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, which she also executive produces.

Also starring Emilio Estevez in Season 1 and Josh Duhamel in Season 2, as well as Brady Noon and a bunch of other talented young actors, the series follows Graham and Noon as the mother-son duo, Alex and Evan Morrow.

When Evan doesn't make the popular and successful Mighty Ducks hockey team, his mother pushes him to join an underdog team, led by Estevez as Coach Gordon Bombay.
