You know her from That ’70s Show and Orange Is the New Black, but now you’re going to associated Laura Prepon with cooking. The actress and mother of two has just launched PrepOn Kitchen, an HSN-exclusive line that will remind you why cooking can be even better than takeout.
Laura grew up in the kitchen cooking with her mom, so this cookware line is something near and dear and her. The goal with PrepOn Kitchen was to make time in the kitchen less stressful, more fun, and something everyone can feel comfortable doing. That’s where the eight-piece collection comes in.
The centerpiece of PrepOn Kitchen is the Prep Board. You attach one of the Food Prep Bags to the side of it, so that as you’re chopping — with the 8-Inch German Steel Santoku Knife, of course — you don’t have to worry about taking up space on your cutting board and running back and forth to the garbage can. It’s easy to slide those asparagus ends or carrot greens into the BPI-certified 100% biodegradable and compostable bag.
The collection also includes a chopper for when you need to finely cut up food, 12-inch frypan with a lid that you’ll use for every kind of dish, four-piece tool set, silicone food prep lids so that you can better save opened cans and parts of fruits and vegetables, and food prep bowls with a colander so you can rinse those veggies easily.
Some of the products are exclusively available in rosemary green, and others also give you the option of cornflower blue and tomato red. You’ll also notice floral detail on items like the prep bags and knife.
“I love green, I just love it in the kitchen. It’s a color that makes me feel like I want to cook with it, it makes me feel happy,” Laura told Best Products during a PrepOn Kitchen press event. “The floral was based on this beautiful European floral design that I loved, because I spent a lot of time in Europe as a child. I said specifically, ‘I want my floral to feel like you’re walking into a place in France.’”
You can shop PrepOn Kitchen exclusively on HSN beginning on May 7. The products range from $19.95 to $59.95. We’re not trying to tell you what to do, but we’d scoop up the Prep Board if we were you …
