Laura Dern's 17-Year-Old Model Son Just Walked His First Fashion Week Runway

Seeing celebrity children model on runways isn't exactly a "shocker" these days (we've got Kaia Gerber, Lily-Rose Depp, Gigi and Bella Hadid, the list goes on and on), but that doesn't make newcomers any less exciting to see. The catwalker du jour? Laura Dern's 17-year-old son, Ellery Walker Harper.

Harper walked in Calvin Klein's New York Fashion Week show on Tuesday night, and his proud mom had a front row seat. This modeling debut has been a long time coming. Originally, Calvin Klein's designer Raf Simons wanted Harper to walk last show, but his parents were not sold on the idea.

“We’re just here at the Calvin show,” Dern told WWD last year. “Really I’m attending with Ellery who has a great love of Raf and is an invited guest of Raf — they have a beautiful connection.”

“He originally asked me to walk,” Harper said. “But my dad had different opinions.”

“He wanted him to wait a little bit more,” Dern said.

“So I’m just here, spectating this,” Harper added.
