Is Post Malone a fan of the medieval period? Maybe a lost extra from Game of Thrones? It certainly seems so. The peace-sign-giving entertainer stepped out yesterday in New York City wearing an ode to Middle Ages dress, consisting of a full custom-made shirt-and-pant set. The look boasted a colorful yesteryear graphic print of armored knights, jousting horsemen, and a canoodling prince and princess. For that runway-plucked designer touch, he wore a pair of tan suede boots by Saint Laurent, with a kicky Cuban heel.

The look is fitting for the musician, who has long been a fan of the medieval aesthetic—even infusing it into his Bud Light merch that dropped on Monday. The hops-laden assortment of hoodies and T-shirts came emblazoned with swords and other motifs from the period. However the yesteryear choice is something a change for Post Malone, who in the past has mainly stuck to omnipresent Western pieces: from Nudie-inspired suits to chain-stitched, embroidered garb. As for this look? While it’s much more difficult to evoke the Middle Ages through clothing sans a shield and helmet, Post Malone nailed the castle-centric idea with his cheeky, and very on-brand, getup.
