The actor suffered a 'medical complication,' daughter Corinne Foxx shared on April 12.

Jamie Foxx remains in the hospital nearly a week after his medical emergency was revealed to the public.

On April 14, CNN gave an update on the Soul star's health, with a source revealing, "They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened."

Per the publication, the Oscar winner, 55, is still in the Georgia-based hospital and under observation. Foxx was in Georgia filming the Netflix movie, Back in Action, which is expected to wrap production soon.

According to a report by People, who also confirmed that Foxx is still hospitalized, the actor is steadily improving.

This update comes just days after Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx revealed that the Just Mercy actor "experienced a medical complication" on April 11.

She continued, "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery."

Before concluding the statement, Corinne, who was speaking on behalf of the rest of Foxx's family, asked "for privacy during this time."

In addition to Corinne, who Foxx shares with Connie Kline, the film star is also a dad to Kristin Grannis' daughter Annalise Bishop.

Many of Foxx's famous friends have since taken to social media to wish him well. LeBron James wrote on Twitter, "Sending my thoughts and prayers to the heavens above to my brother @iamjamiefoxx!!!! Get well and back to yourself SOONER THAN LATER!"

Kerry Washington, who co-starred with Foxx in Ray and Django Unchained, shared on Instagram, "A @iamjamiefoxx appreciation post. Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin."

Viola Davis also took to the picture-sharing site and wrote, "Get well @iamjamiefoxx. We need you.... your light, your brilliance. ❤"
