'Tis the season! The Christmas movie season, that is. Of course, there are so many classic Christmas movies that we can't wait to watch each year. But once your viewings of Elf reach the double digits, it's time to check out some more recent holiday movie fare. Don't worry, with yearly original content from Hallmark and Lifetime, you are bound to find something that matches your tastes. Mark your calendars for Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' Miracles of Christmas — both start on October 25th!

If you like feel-good Christmas movies, 2019 will be a year for you. These are some of the upcoming TV movies with the biggest names and the most interesting sounding plots chosen from all of our favorite channels. But then again, Hallmark itself is releasing 40 brand new Christmas movies this year alone. You can check out a complete list of Hallmark's new Christmas flicks with descriptions here. Same goes for the 28 new Lifetime original Christmas movies from the channel's "It's a Wonderful Lifetime" programming.

Merry and Bright (Nov. 2)

Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin returns for her third Hallmark special as Cate, the CEO of the Merry & Bright Candy Cane Company. Cate is in for a rude awakening when she discovers the man she thinks that she's being set up with, Gabe (played by Andrew Walker) is trying to take over her business.

The Mistletoe Secret (Nov. 10)

While its's sadly not another Christmas at Graceland sequel, Kellie Pickler returning to Hallmark for this movie based on a best-selling novel. Tyler Hynes and Patrick Duffy round out the cast of this story about a man looking for a blogger who writes about loneliness.

Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays (Nov. 23)

After Christmas at Graceland was the Hallmark Channel's most-watched movie last year, we're heading back to the home of The King for another Christmas in Memphis. Kaitlin Doubleday stars as a Graceland tour guide who becomes the nanny to Adrian Grenier's children.

Write Before Christmas (Nov. 24)

Chad Michael Murray plays one of the five important people who receive a Christmas card from Jessica, played by Torrey DeVitto. I don't know about you guys, but I'm sensing a love connection here.

A Christmas Duet (Nov. 25)

Chaley Rose and Rome Flynn star as a former music duo who reunite to play at the annual Yuletide Festival. When they start playing again together, they discover there may still be a spark between them.

Christmas In Rome (Nov. 30)

Hallmark movie veteran Lacey Chabert heads to Rome in this film about an American woman who becomes the personal tour guide for a tourist named Oliver after she is fired from her job right before Christmas.

Christmas Town (Dec. 1)

Candace Cameron Bure, perhaps the only woman who has starred in more Hallmark movies than Lacey Chabert, returns for a new flick this season. Wynonna Earp's Tim Rozon and Sabrina the Teenage Witch's Beth Broderick also appear to remind Bure's character of what the true meaning of Christmas is.

A Christmas Love Story (Dec. 7)

Tony-award winning actress Kristin Chenoweth joins the Hallmark fam in this film as the director of a youth chorus who discovers that a local boy has got some real talent, even if his father, played by Scott Wolf doesn't yet realize it.

Christmas at Dollywood (Dec. 8)

Yes, before you ask, Dolly Parton herself does appear in this movie. But the story is centered around a single mom played by Danica McKellar who comes back to Tennessee in order to produce a show for the 20th anniversary of the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood.

Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings of Joy (Dec. 14)

For the third installment of the Evergreen series, Paul Greene, Maggie Lawson, Barbara Niven, Holly Robinson Peete, Rukiya Bernard, Colin Lawrence, Ashley Williams, and Jill Wagner will all be returning.


Hallmark Movies and Mysteries

A Merry Christmas Match (Oct. 25)

When an unexpected visitor (played by Kyle Dean Massey) arrives at her mom's antique shop, Corey (played by Ashley Newbrough) gains a renewed passion to follow her dream of becoming a theater director.

Two Turtle Doves (Nov. 1)

The Love to the Rescue stars Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady reunite for another Hallmark love story. DeLoach plays a doctor who unexpected befriends a little girl and her father, and, obviously, rediscovers the Christmas spirit along the way.

A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas (Nov. 7)

Rachael Leigh Cook is playing opposite of Benjamin Ayres in this flick that we can only presume takes place on Blue Ridge Mountain.

A Godwink Christmas: Meant For Love (Nov 15)

Our favorite Nantucket inn owners are back in a sequel to last year's Hallmark movie based on the Godwink book series. Kathie Lee Gifford joins the cast for this film.

Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen (Nov. 21)

This one is for Jane Austen fans. Loosely based on Sense and Sensibility, Erin Krakow plays a party planner who doesn't get along with her client, a toy company CEO played by Luke Macfarlane from Brothers & Sisters.


Lifetime

Sweet Mountain Christmas (Oct. 25)

Broadway star Megan Hilty comes to the small screen for this movie where she plays a country singer who returns to her hometown. When she gets trapped there during a blizzard, she realizes that she may still have feelings for a snowplow driver played by Marcus Rosner.

The Road Home for Christmas (Oct. 26)

When their respective performances are cancelled, rival musicians played Marla Sokoloff and Rob Mayes go on a road trip together. Call me crazy, but I don't think they will stay rivals for long.

Christmas Reservations (Nov. 2)

There's not a party Melissa Joan Hart's Holly can't organize at her family's lodge. But when her old college sweetheart shows up, the perfect planner has to learn about something she can't plan (love).

Random Acts of Christmas (Nov. 17)

Two reporters, played by Erin Cahill and Kevin McGarry, try to figure out the secret identity of a mysterious individual who is responsible for the "random acts of kindness" that keep happening around their city.

Magical Christmas Shoes (Nov. 22)

This lifetime original is about an ordinary woman, played by Erin Karpluk, who gets her hands on a pair of magic shoes and uses them to discover the true spirit of Christmas.

Twinkle All the Way (Nov. 23)

Grey's Anatomy's Sarah Drew headlines this movie about wedding planner, played by Drew, who teams up with owner of a Christmas decoration company, played by Ryan McPartlin, to plan a Christmas inspired wedding.

A Very Vintage Christmas (Nov. 27)

An antique store owner, played by Tia Mowry-Hardrict, becomes determined to track down the owner of a box of personal keepsakes that she finds in her store. Though that may not be the only thing she finds when she joined on her quest by a character played by Jesse Hutch.

Staging Christmas (Nov. 29)

Soleil Moon Frye's Lori usually stages houses to be sold, and that's why she's so surprised when a wealthy widower named Elliot, played by George Stults, asks her to stage his home for Christmas to cheer up his young daughter. Though as Lori spends more time with the family, she realizes there is nothing "staged" about their connection.

A Storybook Christmas (Dec. 6)

Ali Liebert plays a single mom who hires a nanny to lighten the load. Someone grab some mistletoe because the nanny, played by Jake Epstein, happens to be single as well.

You Light Up My Christmas (Dec. 14)

Kim Fields plays Emma, a young woman determined to bring the sparkle back to her family's Christmas lights factory. An old flame played Adrian Holmes helps her out along the way.

Rediscovering Christmas (Dec. 15)

The city's biggest department store window dresser Mia, played by Jessica Lowndes, is exhausted by Christmas. But her plan to relax on the beach is dashed when she ends up back in her hometown, just in time for the annual Snowflake festival.
