Galliano Now Suing Ex-Lawyer

Galliano is suing his former lawyer Stephane Zerbib, accusing him of stealing $4.1 million, the New York Post writes: "Galliano entrusted Zerbib with the management of the company throughout 2010 but retook control in February. The lawsuit alleges that Galliano discovered multiple payments to the lawyer, including cash withdrawals near Zerbib's office using the company's card, on one occasion up to seven times a day." Zerbib, who was relieved of his duties this week, plans to countersue the designer for defamation. (Getty photo)

Record-Breaking Attendance

According to On The Runway, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" had higher opening day attendance than any Costume Institute exhibition and nearly any installation at the Met, ever. 5,100 people stopped by to see the designer's creations on May 4 -- just shy of the museum's biggest debut, "Vincent van Gogh: The Drawings," which had 5,400 viewers when it bowed in 2005. Pippa Pulled A Repeat

Maid of Honor Pippa Middleton stole the show at the royal wedding (well, almost) with her gorgeous form-fitting Alexander McQueen gown. But it looks like the stunning dress has actually graced a red carpet before... stateside. The Daily Mail recently drew to our attention that Cameron Diaz wore the same dress to the 2010 Golden Globes, adding drama with padded shoulders and va-va-voom red. Poor Pippa -- with all the attention already on her, the last thing she needed was a "Who Wore It Better?" But you can tell us, anyway, in the comments. (Getty photo)

The Sartorialist: No Love for Personal Style Blogs

Style.com snagged an interview with Scott Schuman, the genius photographer behind The Sartorialist. Schuman talked mostly about his professional role models, but he didn't hold back when asked to comment on the plethora of personal style blogs currently hitting the web. "The good and bad of that is that most these girls only have a limited wardrobe," he said. "They don't have many clothes to shoot and I don't think most of them have come up with looks that are that interesting, that draw me." (Getty photo)

Royal Treatment For The Royal Dress

As if you haven't had enough of the Royal Wedding Dress, The Guardian reports that Kate Middleton's famous Alexander McQueen confection will soon go on display for public viewing. Although it hasn't been announced, possible venues include the Victoria & Albert and Kensington Palace, where several Princess Diana dresses have been shown in the past. Fingers crossed that the dress makes a transatlantic trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art...after all, the Met knows a thing or two about displaying McQueen dresses. (Getty photo)

Karl Lagerfeld Plays With His Food

In his typical "go big or go home" fashion, Karl Lagerfeld has created a life-size chocolate sculpture of model Baptiste Giabiconi to promote his collaboration with Magnum ice cream brand. The handsome Baptiste, Lagerfeld's muse and companion, also stars in the Kaiser-directed Magnum commercials. The pics are pretty impressive -- but we wonder, how will those white undies stay clean with all that melty brown chocolate? (AP photo)

Who On Earth Would Cheat On This Woman?

The stunning model-mogul dished with Good Housekeeping, admitting that her love life has not always been a walk in the park. "I've been married before. I've had boyfriends. I've been cheated on. I've been heartbroken. I've broken hearts. That's part of life, and it's part of figuring out who you are so you can find the right partner." It makes you wonder: who in their right mind would cheat on this gorgeous woman? Really, someone tell us. (Getty photo)

The Royal Wedding...Perfume?

We finally know who made her dress, but who provided Kate Middleton's wedding day fragrance? The girls at Grazia have it on good word that the Duchess of Cambridge's perfume was White Gardenia Petals by British fragrance brand Illuminum. Described as "fragrant as a vase of white flowers, quivering in the breeze by an open window," the perfume sounds like it was the perfect match for Kate's delicate white dress. But the real question: did William like it? (Getty photo)

Newest Style Stars: Hasidic Jews?

Sometimes fashion takes inspiration from religion. Along that line, the New York Times brought to our attention a strange new trend: traditional Jewish black hats. Both male and female fashion-minded hipsters have embraced the large black fedora, drawn to it for its authentic feeling and quirkiness and less for its religious implications. What's next, modest maxi skirts? Oh, wait... (Getty photo)

The Bishop's New Clothes

In other news, religion is also taking cues from fashion. In Italy, the Guardian reports, Bishop Domenico Mogavero made headlines by ordering his new robes from Giorgio Armani. The Sicilian bishop has defended his new vestments, which are pale green with embroidered designs of vines, wheat, shells and starfish, as "tasteful" with the purpose of "wearing something beautiful to give glory to God." Apparently, churchgoers were totally pleased with their leader's directional fashion sense. That's Armani, himself, up there, but for pics of Mogavero, head over to the Guardian. So You Wanna Be A Rotifeld?

In the category of "rumors we really hope are true," Carine Roitfeld may be heading to reality TV. The former editrix has been dabbling in different projects since leaving her post as Vogue Paris' editor-in-chief, including plans to style the new Barneys New York windows as well as a cover story and fashion spread for V magazine, reports the New York Post. But last week, according to Fashionista, Models.com Wayne Sterling tweeted, "if you really wannabearoitfeld then your dream is abt to come true" then followed it up with "Which is to say 'doing windows' was a big smokescreen." When asked if the tweets referred to a Rotifeld reality show, Sterling simply tweeted: "shhhhhh!" (Getty photo)

Fashion Industry Leaders Also Readers

This week Women's Wear Daily unveiled its "You Talking To Me?" campaign, which highlights the trade newspaper's high-profile readership. Each ad features a prominent member of WWD's audience, with the first round of images including Diane von Furstenberg, Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman, and the boys of Proenza Schouler. WWD writes that the ads will appear online, in print, and even in "outdoor media"... Does that mean WWD bus-bench ads? We never thought we'd live to see the day.

Kiddie Couture

If moms can dress in crazy-expensive Lanvin dresses, why can't their daughters? Now they can, Women's Wear Daily reports, with Lanvin's upcoming children's line. The 25-piece collection just for girls will be youthful, of course, but also luxe: "We really want to stay in the luxury world," designer Alber Elbaz emphasized, with expensive fabrics and a "superluxury approach." We're thinking these clothes better come with some darn good bibs. (Getty photo)

Andre Is Andre's Numero Uno Fan

Andre Leon Talley made sure to include himself on his Ten Best Dressed list from the Met Gala (although to be fair, he named himself last). As the Vogue contributing editor wrote on Vogue.com: "Nicolas Ghesquière designed my 8-meter-long French silk faille manteau de cour in LeCorbusier blue, which I wore over my favorite midnight-blue Ralph Lauren dinner suit with shawl collar, Charvet shirt, and bowtie, and Roger Vivier court shoes in framboise. Yours truly decided I was a top note--and why not?!" (Getty photo)

Mini Model

The average American woman is only 5'3" but the standard for fashion models is around a lofty 5'10". Which is why we were so pleased to see blog Issac Likes present to us Anja Konstantinova, a top model on the current Australian Fashion Week runways who clocks in at a mere 5'4". The stunning Konstantinova doesn't seem to be bothered by her unusual model proportions, and instead cheerfully proclaimed, "I'm doing it for the short girls!" To meet Anna, head over to Issac Likes. (Getty photo)

Aggy Stripping Down

For her film debut, British top model Agyness Deyn will play an "erotic dancer" (read: stripper/pole dancer) in the remake of the cult movie "Pusher." Vogue UK reported that appropriately for Deyn, the film will be set in London, instead of the original Copenhagen, and her character is described as "strong-minded"... no word yet on whether she will or will not have a heart of gold. Dov Must Love Lawsuits

Dov Charney can never seem to stay out of the news. This time, Gawker reports that the American Apparel CEO with a sleazebag rep is being sued again by three female former employees who already sued him. Seems like after the first suit, Charney published fake blogs under the plaintiffs' names and posted explicit pictures of them in retaliation. Bad idea. Now the women are suing for defamation, impersonation, invasion of privacy, "intentional infliction of emotional distress" from the damning (and phony) blogs, and for leaking their photos to the media. Oh, Dov, when will you learn? (Getty photo)
