Las Vegas history comes into focus for local event

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas is known for gambling, fine dining, entertainment, and sports, among other things, but the city’s history takes the spotlight for Home + History Las Vegas 2024.

The four-day event offers a look at iconic homes and venues that have shaped Las Vegas, including the Las Vegas Cue Club, which is celebrating 60 years in the Commercial Center district. It’s the oldest pool room in Las Vegas and was the first business to open in the Commercial Center.

“We’ve been very lucky to have people that come here and still support us after all this time, generation after generation,” said Kay Scott, managing partner of the Cue Club. “We’re hoping to be here another 60 years.”

To celebrate, the Cue Club is planning a charity celebrity pro-amateur pool tournament.

Home + History Las Vegas takes place from April 25 through April 28. Tickets start at $15. More information is available on the Home + History Las Vegas website.
