Atlantic City is about to get a whole lot more fun: The city is slated to welcome Island Waterpark at The Showboat Resort. According to the property, it will be the largest beachfront waterpark in the world when it debuts this summer.

The family-friendly waterpark will span an impressive 120,000 square feet and will include more than a dozen different slides for guests to zoom down, according to a release provided to Travel + Leisure. There will also be a 1,000-square-foot surf simulator, a lazy river for the relaxers in the group, and a 10,000-square-foot adults-only area. (The latter will have features like a swim-up bar, cabanas, and manicure stations.)

But that’s not all. For dry land fun, the resort will have a 1,000-foot Cloud Coaster, where guests can take in the ocean and boardwalk views before dropping back to the ground. There will also be a 300-foot zip line to zoom from one end of the park to the other, plus a 30-foot-tall tree house that can be booked for private events.

The best part? The waterpark will have a retractable roof, which means on warm, sunny days, the roof will be pulled back for guests to enjoy a few rays. And during the winter months or inclement weather, it will remain closed to create a little oasis by the shore.

“There is nothing I love more as a grandfather than watching my grandkids play and have fun. That’s really the inspiration behind the mind-blowing experience that Showboat Resort brings to the boardwalk,” Bart Blatstein, the owner of Showboat Resort, told T+L. “In terms of the design, the scale, the location, the one-of-a-kind offerings, and the dynamic mix of entertainment for adults and kids, no other family fun resort in the region or even the world compares to it.”

Guests at the resort can enjoy its other amenities beyond the waterpark too, including the neon-laced Lucky Snake Arcade — the East Coast's largest arcade. It is home to a 40,000-square-foot Raceway Go Kart Track, more than 600 games, and a bowling alley. This summer, the resort also plans to open its movie-themed miniature golf course and a new 40-foot tall climbing wall — just in case all those other things weren’t enough to keep you busy.
