To All the Boys: Always and Forever marks the third and final chapter in the beloved Netflix book-to-movie franchise starring Lana Condor and Noah Centineo. But while Lara and Peter's high-school romance might be coming to an end, Lana and Noah's real-life bond certainly isn't.

Since filming To All the Boys I've Loved Before in 2017, the two have remained incredibly close — so close that fans of the Netflix rom-com have speculated for the past several years that the 23-year-old actress and 24-year-old actor have dated and/or are dating in real life. Why? Apart from their notable on-screen chemistry, Lana and Noah have both shared flirty Instagram pictures with one another and (perhaps unintentionally) fueled hearsay with their constant high praise of each other.

"We speak the same language and we think the same way," Lana told Girlfriend about filming all three To All the Boys films alongside Noah. "We've always felt more comfortable around each other. And I think that it shows in the third movie that it does seem like we’ve been a part of each other's lives for three years, it's very clear that we — and Lara Jean and Peter — are very comfortable."

In the same interview, Noah explained: "I think we’re like a married couple now. We’re very familiar with each other, very comfortable."

So, are Lana Condor and Noah Centineo dating in real life?

Though you might suspect that Lana and Noah have romantic feelings for one another (especially after Noah said they are "like a married couple"), the two appear to be nothing more than dear friends. Moreover, both actors are romantically involved with other partners — Lana has been dating Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Anthony De La Torre for over five years now, while Noah is reportedly dating YouTube influencer Stassie Karanikolaou.

Hilariously, Noah told Jimmy Fallon last week that his first encounter with Lana was pretty awkward. In fact, he didn't even know Lana had landed the part of Lara when he was trying out to play Peter.

"What I like to do with my auditions is, I like to run lines before the actual chemistry reading and before the actual audition with other people in the room, because I feel like it's a good way to break the ice," Noah told the late-night host. "So ... I see Lana at the chemistry reading and I didn't realize that she had booked the role. I thought she was also there chemistry reading as one of three girls, like I was one of three guys. And I was like, 'Hey do you maybe wanna run lines?' and she was like 'Nah, I'm okay!' Like ... 'I got this!'"

But after that, Lana and Noah's flirty friendship and mutual admiration blossomed. Director Susan Johnson told Entertainment Tonight they ended up using a real picture of Lana and Noah cuddling together on set in To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

"The two of them were in the green room on set at the high school location, in the area where we put the actors. They actually were sleeping on the couch in that room like that, so we just stood over them and took that picture and it’s so friggin’ cute," Susan said about using the picture as Lara's phone lock-screen image in the film. "So yeah, we just borrowed it from our crew member."

In other words, the closeness we see in the To All the Boys movies is reflective of Lana and Noah's bond behind the scenes.

"It has been since day 1, and I’ve never felt chemistry like this ever before with any other actor that I’ve worked with. I think we both know that it’s special and I’m just happy that it’s him that I’m going through all this with," Lana told Entertainment Weekly in 2018.

Two years back, Lana admitted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she once "felt something" for Noah early on in the filming process of To All the Boys I've Loved Before. After doing hot yoga and grabbing pizza at his apartment together, she thought there may be sparks — but she ultimately decided to shut down the possibility in the name of work.

"It was right before we shot the movie, just getting to know each other," Lana explained, adding that she told Noah, "'It’s not going to happen between us.'" Apparently, Noah agreed and believed firmly that in order for the movie to do well they needed to be "best-friend professionals."

"So we kind of did what we do in To All the Boys the movie, we made a contract and set boundaries," Lana told Jimmy. "I’m so happy that we did that because the movie turned out great ..."

Indeed it did. The first film's success led to Netflix green-lighting the 2021 sequel To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. Ahead of production, Noah gushed to the press about how he loved working with Lana.

"I miss Lana [Condor]. I miss the f--k out of Lana and Israel [Broussard], Trezzo [Mahoro] and everyone. I can’t wait to see everybody and hang out again," he told People about why he wanted to do a second movie. "That was such a treasure, being in Vancouver with them."

In August of 2019, the cast and crew finished up filming To All the Boys: Always and Forever. To commemorate this accomplishment, Noah tweeted out a message that made fans' hearts melt.

"Tonight was my last night as Peter Kavinsky. I hope you all love these last installments as much as we do. Forever grateful for the opportunity to be yours," Noah wrote in part.

Right on cue, Lana responded, "You’ll always be my Peter K. & I’ll always be your Lara Jean, that I can promise you."
