When the CMA Fest: 50 Years of Fan Fair documentary premieres next Wednesday, hot country star Lainey Wilson, who won four ACM Awards this year, will be among those interviewed, and the interesting thing is she has quite the history with the music festival.

“I have been coming to CMA Fest every year since I was 14 years old,” she says. “It was a part of the way we lived. I didn’t even realize country music was a genre growing up. I thought it was just a way of life. I remember thinking, ‘I’ve got to be a part of this community.’ When I went to CMA Fest for the first time, I was like, ‘This is it.’”

The video clip also shows Lainey performing “Things a Man Oughta Know” and also a duet with Cole Swindell on their hit “Never Say Never.”

“I have been in Nashville for 11 years,” Lainey adds. “I moved here in a camper/trailer. I was known as the camper/trailer girl dreaming about being a part of CMA Fest and dang it, I’m a part of it now!”

The 75-minute documentary, told through exclusive one-on-one interviews and never-before-seen archival content, also features Bill Anderson, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, BRELAND, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Valierie Ellis, Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd, Miranda Lambert, Patty Loveless, Mark Miller, Craig Morgan, Lorrie Morgan, Dolly Parton, Carly Pearce, Jeannie Seely, Frankie Staton, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood and Chris Young.

CMA Fest: 50 Years of Fan Fair celebrates the festival’s humble beginnings as Fan Fair in 1972, which drew 5,000 fans to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, to its move to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982 and then ultimately to downtown Nashville in 2001. The music celebration now draws more than 90,000 fans a day, across four days, with attendees from all 50 states and 51 countries.

CMA Fest: 50 Years of Fan Fair will begin streaming on Wednesday, July 5 on Hulu.
