While most of us will never acquire a beauty stash as large as a professional makeup artist’s, the amount eyebrow pencils, lipsticks, blushes and foundations most of us have can be surprisingly hard to keep organized. (If you’ve ever gotten ready in a hurry, and left your supplies splayed across a counter, you know all about this cluttered scene). And if you’re a celebrity makeup artist, like Sarah Tanno (who is Lady Gaga’s makeup artist), tasked with keeping every shade of every product on hand at all times, it’s easy to see how things can get out of hand.

Tanno is also the co-founder of Gaga’s beauty brand, Haus Laboratories, which debuted on Amazon in 2019. Now, she’s introducing another Amazon exclusive: A 28-piece collection of makeup organizers in collaboration with iDesign. “It’s been my dream to create a solution for organizing makeup, hair, and accessories that feels elevated, customizable and chic,” Tanno told PureWow, adding that it was important for them to “innovate on products that would also not harm the environment. iDesign was the perfect collaborator that was looking to do the same thing.”

Tanno sought to address some of the challenges she’s had with other organizers and improve upon them. Most importantly? “The quality of materials.” So, you can trust that these iDesign products won’t start cracking, breaking or falling apart after just a few months of use. Plus, they’re modular: “All of our products can click into each other so you can build a solution that works for you,” Tanno points out. And every piece in the collection comes in two colorways, Smoke & Black and Clear & White, so you can match them to the décor in your bathroom (or makeup room—if you’re lucky enough to have one).

And though you might think co-creating a collection of organizers means Tanno’s got her beauty organization systems down 100 percent, she admits that she’s “still trying to figure it out in my own space as well.” That said, she does have general systems in place for skin care and makeup. “I like to organize all my skincare in sections by categories such as moisturizers, toners, masks, etc.” Makeup on the other hand, she categorizes by shade: “My lipsticks, for example, neutrals [go] together. I have a special section for prosthetics and editorial makeup, too.”

And the next time you feel stressed about having way too many lipsticks, just know that Tanno feels your pain. “I’m really always trying to make my kit smaller—even though it’s always still consistently 70 or 80 lbs,” she says.

1. iDesign Signature Series by Sarah Tanno Cosmetic, Tall Drawer Organizer

“The drawers were important for me because I was constantly finding ones that weren’t cohesive or didn’t work together,” Tanno says. Since these are modular and stackable, you can customize this three-drawer design to fit your early AM makeup needs (or your PM touch-up routine).

2. iDesign Signature Series by Sarah Tanno Cosmetic Organizer, Turntable

“Another favorite I wanted to include was the turntable because that’s something I use in so many different areas of my home. I’m constantly finding new uses for it,” she says. We love that it has a few different sections for different items, from lipsticks to eyeliners, in addition to having dividers that can be moved or removed, as you see fit.

3. iDesign Signature Series by Sarah Tanno Cosmetic, Lipstick Organizer

“I’m super proud of the lipstick holders because they hold lipstick or nail polish of any size and it takes the annoying factor of ‘will it fit?’ out of the question.” And with 18 compartments, we have a feeling one or two will fit your entire lip color collection.
