Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett Team Up for Bennett's Last Album

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are back in the studio for their second collaborative album, Love for Sale. Lady Gaga shared on her Instagram that the day their 2014 album Cheek to Cheek was released, Bennett called her to see if she wanted to record another album of Cole Porter songs. And of course, she agreed.

It's been a busy week: the trailer for Lady Gaga's upcoming film House of Gucci premiered on July 29. Set to release in theaters on November 24, Gaga will play Maurizio Gucci's ex wife, Patrizia Reggiani, who hired a hitman to murder Gucci. Fans and critics alike are highly anticipating the film for its salacious details, and of course, fashion.

Meanwhile, Tony Bennett celebrated his 95th birthday, where stars (like Paul McCartney, U2, Steve Buscemi, Bon Jovi, and Martin Scorsese) and fans sent him beautiful well wishes.

This album feels especially bittersweet because in February 2021, Bennett revealed he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in an interview with AARP. Love for Sale, and the duo's limited run at Radio City Music Hall, ending August 5, are said to be Bennett's last album release and last NYC performances.
