Hello, hi, it’s the 2020 MTV VMAs, otherwise known as an excuse to watch Lady Gaga ARRIVE. And this year, she showed up to the “live” show dressed as a literal moon person with her head in a fishbowl, which, helpfully, doubled as a face mask. Gotta stay safe in these bleak times, ya know?

As a reminder, Lady Gaga reportedly prerecorded her VMAs performance thanks to the VMAs not exactly being “live” as advertised. In fact, she, Ariana Grande, and Miley Cyrus allegedly didn’t even fly to New York to film their performances in the city—while stars who did travel for the show quarantined and got COVID-19 tests.
