Lady Gaga Rocks Lilac-Colored Hair
Lilac hair just might become your New Year’s resolution.
According to Refinery29, the shade is among the top 100 Pinterest trends for 2019. If you need more reasons to give the upcoming craze a whirl, look no further than Lady Gaga. Our favorite queen of hairstyle changes just debuted her own pale purple tresses and, to the surprise of no one, she looks incredible.
The color change was revealed on Instagram on Thursday, December 20 by none other than Gaga’s fiancé Christian Carino. He posted a picture of the singer and actress perched in front of a fountain, a few strands of dusty lilac hair falling across her face. A classic leather jacket and vintage concert t-shirt complete the look, serving as the perfect contrast to her fairytale-like locks.
The A Star Is Born actor is no stranger to a major pastel moment (remember her pale pink feather duster dress?), so it seems only natural that she’d try out the trend in a slightly more permanent way. Could the color reveal have to do with her upcoming Las Vegas concert residency? And it remains to be seen whether or not her whimsical look will be part of her Golden Globes red carpet appearance in January, where she’ll be up for awards for Best Actress and Best Original Song for “Shallow,” her duet with Bradley Cooper.
Only Gaga knows just how long she’ll keep her light purple mane, but I know one thing for sure: There could be 100 lilac-haired people in the room, and I’d still choose her.
