After Prince Harry opened up about going to therapy in the years following Princess Diana’s death, the palace released a four-minute video Tuesday in which Lady Gaga and Prince William “speak openly about their mental health.”

The video features the two FaceTiming—Gaga in her kitchen in Los Angeles, and William at his desk in Kensington Palace—as the prince explains he was moved by Gaga’s open discussion of her struggle with P.T.S.D., and how she felt much better once she had shared what she was going through with the world. “Even though it was hard,” Gaga says in the video, “the best thing that could come out of my mental illness was to share it with other people and let our generation, as well as other generations, know that if you are feeling not well in your mind that you’re not alone and that people that you think would never have a problem, do.”

At the end of their chat, William asks if they might be able to meet up to discuss mental-health issues in person, and Gaga says she’s game. “We have to make the strongest, most relentless attempt we can to normalize mental-health issues, so that people feel like they can come forward,” she says.

In London on Tuesday, William also spoke, “off-the-cuff,” per People, about his own experiences and battles. “I have my own reasons for being involved in mental health—what happened to me and my mother when I was younger,” he said. “It all comes back down to mental health.” He continued, “The more we have influential and very important people speaking about their issues and their battles, the better.”

In a separate interview on Monday, William stressed that he believes it’s important for people to feel confident and open expressing themselves when they are working through these issues. “There may be a time and a place for the ‘stiff upper lip’ but not at the expense of your health,” he said.

Harry’s interview and the Gaga-William video are part of a week’s worth of concerted campaigning from the royals about mental health leading up to the London Marathon this Sunday.
