There are many faces of Lady Gaga. Fresh-faced, makeup-free Gaga; the Joker Gaga; glam red-carpet Gaga; and my personal fave, gothic Gaga. But while all are big slays, it's the latter that has us in a chokehold today thanks to the star's latest selfie. Rock on, kids.

Coming to us via her very own brand's Instagram page, Haus Labs, the singer-meets-actor-turned-beauty mogul posted a full-face glam makeup selfie, courtesy of her MUA, Sarah Tanno.

Unsurprisingly, Gaga's base is flawless, as are her fluffy 'brows but it's the thick black under-eye liner that steals the show. I mean, not only is it very punk rock but the look is one that we all used to wear circa late 1990s/early 00s.

Revealing the very product used to achieve this eye look, the caption reads: "New founder selfie just dropped! 💥 @ladygaga wears Optic Intensity Eco Eyeliner in ‘Black Onyx Matte’".

Spending sprees aside, this eye look is one that we like to call the 'butterfly' makeup trend and it's super easy to recreate at home. Not only does its name come from the butterfly motif that was a defining symbol of the 90s and Y2K fashion and beauty but its fanned-out, winged water-lined shape, too.

As Gaga and Sarah have, run a creamy eyeliner pencil of choice (preferably the Haus Labs one above) under your lower lash line connecting upwards into a classic winged flick. For more of a gothic grunge take, blend out the product with a fluffy makeup brush.

Et voilà!

Pair the look with a trucker hat, hooped earrings, block-heeled Mary Janes and a Tamagotchi and be on your way to the Millennium Dome...
