Lady Gaga certainly knows how to celebrate in style. Case in point: This weekend, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter marked the one-year anniversary of the release of the movie album from her hit film, A Star Is Born — and she did so with newly hot pink hair.
While Gaga&aposs hair has been varying shades of pink many times in the past, it&aposs been a hot minute since she&aposs been back to the head-turning hue. Turns out, all she needed was a good reason, and surely the movie&aposs album — which earned double-platinum status in the U.S. — turning one is the perfect excuse. The "Shallow" singer showed off her new hair color on Instagram on Saturday, October 5, in a post in which she&aposs holding a large plaque honoring the famed soundtrack’s sales milestones. In addition to its double-platinum status in America, the album sold more than six million copies globally. That, and the soundtrack&aposs hit single, "Shallow" won best original song this year at the Oscar and Golden Globe Awards, two Grammys, as well as best song at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
While she didn&apost reveal who&aposs responsible for bringing her back to pink, it&aposs possible that it was done by her go-to hairstylist, Frederic Aspiras. As for the caption, Mother Monster kept it short and sweet: "A year ago, A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum," it reads. As expected, fans are in a frenzy over the star&aposs new look, leaving comments like, "this hair though" and "the hair is so good!💕💕💕"
And it is: really good. Congrats to Gaga on such an amazing milestone — and yet another killer hair color.
