Lady Gaga Has a New Fashion Exhibit in Las Vegas

It's chock full of iconic Gaga memorabilia and costumes.

Lady Gaga is officially taking over Las Vegas! Starting today, May 30, Vegas visitors can check out an entire exhibit dedicated to her over-the-top fashion, from the infamous meat dress to the gown she wore to accept her Golden Globe for American Horror Story. The exhibit, titled Haus of Gaga, takes up residence at the Park MGM hotel — the same place where Gaga is performing her Vegas residency show, “Enigma.”

Gaga announced the exhibit on Twitter this week with a short video giving fans a sneak peek of the treasures contained within, saying, “I’m very excited to bring Haus history to Las Vegas at #HausOfGagaLV at @parkmgm curated by @formichetti! The experience opens at 12pm tomorrow.” In the video, we get a glimpse of some iconic Gaga memorabilia and costumes, like the cigarette-covered glasses worn in the “Telephone” music video and the celestial Armani gown she wore to the Grammys back in 2010. And yes, the meat dress is there too, encased in glass; according to Gaga’s fashion director and exhibit curator Nicola Formichetti, who spoke to Billboard about the experience, it was refrigerated for years and is now like “jerky.” Chic?

“[Haus of Gaga] is a space where you can experience all of Gaga and [it has been her] dream to [have] all her outfits in one place,” Formichetti told Billboard. “We have about 20 outfits, over 40 wigs and accessories and shoes, everything.” Forgive us, we’re drooling over this whole thing and can’t imagine how many iconic looks are housed within the exhibit. Gaga has gone through so many transformations in her career that the options are endless.

According to Formichetti, the exhibit will change as it goes on. “For the opening, I specifically have more of her earlier stuff. But we already have the next one [in mind].” The exhibit is also a way for the duo to look back at everything they’ve accomplished while formulating ideas for the future. “To have all the outfits together, with the wigs, the makeup and shoes, everything, it's pretty insane for us,” Formichetti said. “Gaga is never about the past. She's always about moving forward. But we also want her fans to experience her legacy from the last 10 years.”

If reading this was enough to make you book a ticket to Vegas, or if you’ve already got tickets to see Gaga dazzle the Strip, you’ll be happy to know that there’s no admission fee to Haus of Gaga. Instead of paying for a ticket, the exhibit requests a donation to Gaga’s Born This Way foundation. That way, you can ogle over the creativity and craftsmanship behind her most iconic looks while making a difference for others — the perfect union of fashion and love, which is so Gaga.
