We've seen Lady Gaga wear every hair color known to humankind. We've even seen her use meat as a hair accessory. But at tonight's 2019 Golden Globe Awards, the best actress nominee just debuted a jaw-dropping new powder-blue hair color that perfectly matched her Valentino princess gown.

The new hair color doesn't appear to be a wig like so many of Gaga's other dramatic hair looks. Instead, it appears that the singer-turned-actress temporarily tinged her platinum blonde hair blue to create a matchy-matchy look with her dress. The blue color looked hand-painted on her hair, rather than dyed.

Gaga's hair was pulled back into a sleek updo, with her ends sticking-out from the bun and curled down along the side of her head. Her makeup took a more classic approach. Makeup artist Sarah Tanno emphasized Gaga's brows and eyes. Her brows were filled-in a natural brown hue, and her eyes were dusted with a smoky and glittery gray eyeshadow. Her lips were covered in a satin nude lipstick.

Blue hair is one of 2019's biggest-and most unexpected-hair trends. Beauty mogul Kylie Jenner just dyed her platinum blonde hair blue as well, just in time for the new year.

Gaga's couture Valentino dress seemed to pay homage to a gown Judy Garland wore in the 1954 version of A Star is Born. Her awe-inspiring diamond necklace is from Tiffany, and underneath her dress, Gaga was wearing ultra-high stiletto platforms by

Giuseppe Zanotti.

It's been a busy month for Gaga, who is both a presenter and a nominee tonight. She just opened her Las Vegas residency show called Enigma.
