Lady Gaga Debunked Pregnancy Rumors and Confirmed Her Sixth Album Is Coming Soon

LG6 is on the way!!

Lady Gaga has had enough of the rumors. After the end of her engagement to Christian Carino and that emotional performance at the Oscars with her A Star Is Born costar Bradley Cooper, rumors were swirling that Gaga was everything from in love with Bradley to pregnant, and she’s not putting up with it anymore.

Gaga took to her Twitter to dismiss the gossip, writing, “Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6.” LG6, of course, is a reference to her next studio album.

LG6, whatever it ends up being named, follows the massive success of A Star Is Born and will be Gaga’s first full-length studio album since her folk rock-tinged Joanne, released in 2016. She’s been busy on the awards circuit and performing her Las Vegas residency, “Enigma,” but it sounds like recording new music is a priority for Gaga. We can’t wait to see the direction she chooses: Will the new album sound like A Star Is Born? Will she return to dance-pop or keep going rock? Will Tony Bennett make an appearance? Anything is possible.

Cue fans losing it over the news, and creating some pretty great Twitter content in the process. “Step aside Meghan Markle! We have a bigger pregnancy to celebrate!” wrote one fan. “WELL GIVE BIRTH NOW,” demanded another. Another fan posted a photoshopped image of a Grammy award in an ultrasound, which, LOL.

It’s worth noting that speculating over a celebrity’s relationship status, or a suspected pregnancy, can be intrusive and inappropriate. Gaga has talked about this before; after the Oscars duet, she told Jimmy Kimmel that social media is the “toilet” of the Internet, and that we saw exactly what she and Bradley wanted us to see during their seemingly romantic performance. They were acting! “People saw love and, guess what, that’s what we wanted to you to see," she said. "This is a love song.”

We’re glad Gaga finally put an end to all those rumors. Now, how long do we have to wait for LG6?
