Lady Gaga Crying Too Much Before the 2019 Grammy's to Wear Makeup Is a Little Too Relatable
While some folks have to wait until the official night of the Grammys to learn their award show fate, others hear ahead of the main event. Apparently, A Star Is Born is already cleaning up. In fact, prior to the show, Lady Gaga has already racked up two wins, including one for Shallow, the original song that was created for the movie. And while we typically love seeing Gaga's stunning looks on the red carpet, she might just have to go without makeup tonight due to the already-emotional events of the evening.
In response to the two wins (which also include an award for Best Pop Solo Performance for the titular track from her album "Joanne"), Gaga tweeted, "I’m not gonna be able to wear any makeup tonight. We just won our first of Grammy nominations for the night. I’m in tears with honor and gratitude. Thank you @RecordingAcad #Grammys #Grammy and my co-writers and Bradley I love you so much thank you." E! posted a photo of her crying and many folks took to the comments to share congratulations and predict more wins for the night, saying, "It's gonna sweep. I've had this album on repeat since I saw the movie. Love love love Congratulations."
While we don't know yet if Lady Gaga will manage to dry her eyes in time to throw a Look together (yes — capital "L") before the big show, crying so much before an event that the look you planned may not, in fact, be possible is pretty damn relatable. We'll just have to wait and see if she goes full Gaga or foregoes makeup for the night, but either way, congrats are in order. I just hope someone brings some tissues and Visine.
