Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Perform "Shallow" in Las Vegas

It was the first time they performed the Oscar-nominated song live.

Lady Gaga kicked off her Enigma residency in Las Vegas last month by wowing the crowd with a giant robot, and the surprises haven’t stopped there. On Saturday, January 26, Mother Monster shocked her Vegas audience by bringing out Bradley Cooper for a special performance of “Shallow,” their duet from A Star Is Born.

As noted by Billboard, the Park MGM performance marked the very first time Gaga and Bradley have sang “Shallow” together live. They are expected to perform it again at the Oscars on February 24, as the popular duet is up for the coveted Best Original Song award.

For concertgoers in attendance, the surprise appearance was nothing short of unforgettable. “When you show up to see the goddess @ladygaga and you get to hear ‘Shallow’ performed with Bradley Cooper...it's a pretty extra great night in #Vegas,” one fan wrote on Twitter. Another remarked that their throat is sore from screaming so much during the song, while some fans were rendered speechless by the cameo.

In addition to their Oscar nomination for Best Song, Gaga and Bradley are up for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively, for their work in A Star Is Born. The film is also nominated for Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor (Sam Elliot), Best Sound Mixing, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
