Lady Gaga's Hair Went from Platinum to Bubblegum Pink

Is there any shade she can't pull off?

Just try and resist the urge to dye your hair pink after seeing Lady Gaga's bubblicious new shade! The singer posted a pic of herself with a new hair hue and we are obsessed with the rosy color — but then again, we've loved Gaga's hair since she burst on the scene in the mid-2000s.

We got our first peek at the pink thanks to Gaga's Instagram post announcing that the A Star is Born soundtrack has now gone multiplatinum. "A year ago, A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum," she wrote, and not only is she wearing a pink and black houndstooth-print dress, she's also rocking a pretty pink hair color to match.

This isn't the first time Gaga has switched up her color; she's a known beauty and style chameleon who's done everything from going silver before her Vegas residency to rainbow hair during her Joanne period to a soft lilac shade. Who could forget when she matched her hair color to her lilac dress at the Golden Globes? So chic.

While platinum blonde is the closest thing Gaga has to a signature hair color, the super-light shade gives her the option to mix things up easily, and Gaga has also been known to rock a wig or two. We've even seen her transition back to her natural brunette; in 2017, she showed off a darker color, and her A Star is Born character Ally was also brunette — until she went orange and became a platinum-selling pop superstar, just like Gaga herself.

In late 2018, Gaga's colorist Patti Song revealed that Gaga's hair was pretty damaged from all that bleach and that they had to do a major chop and rely on wigs until her hair was healthy again. While we're pretty sure the pink isn't permanent and Gaga will be rocking a new shade sooner rather than later, we're loving her Barbie moment and considering picking up a bottle of bubblegum pink color to get the Gaga look ourselves.
