You’re going to want to mark your calendars for this one.

A documentary about Lady Bird Johnson, “one of the most influential and least-understood first ladies” in American history, is headed for Hulu.

From ABC News Studios and award-winning filmmaker Dawn Porter (John Lewis: Good Trouble), The Lady Bird Diaries is based on Julia E. Sweig’s New York Times bestselling biography, Lady Bird Johnson: Hiding in Plain Sight, and ABC’s eight-part podcast, In Plain Sight: Lady Bird Johnson. The film features audio from the 123 hours of “personal and revealing” diaries Lady Bird Johnson recorded throughout the presidency of her husband, Lyndon B. Johnson, starting with JFK’s assassination.

According to a news release, the documentary shines a “new light” on the former First Lady, described as “a meticulous observer” and a “savvy cultural and political strategist” to LBJ during one of the most tumultuous periods in American history.

In an exclusive clip shared with Deadline, Lady Bird Johnson remembers the day in Dallas when President Kennedy was assassinated and her husband was sworn in as president aboard Air Force One.

“The streets were lined with people. Lots and lots of children, all smiling,” the Texas native recalled of that terrible afternoon in 1963. “Suddenly, there was a sharp, loud report. A shot. And then two more.”

“I learned so much making this film,” Porter said in a statement. “Lady Bird Johnson’s journey is familiar to so many women who work behind the scenes, accomplish the impossible, and take no credit. It was a joy to finally center the camera on her and shine a light on one of the most influential, if not well-known, first ladies of America.”

The Lady Bird Diaries will premiere Monday, November 13, on Hulu.
