L’Oreal’s Airlight Pro Cares for Your Hair and the Planet

Using infrared-light technology and wind, L'Oreal's newest Airlight Pro is a hair drying tool designed for both professional stylists and at-home users. Not only does the product care for the planet with up to 31% less energy consumption, but it cares for the hair by drying just the surface to preserve internal moisture.

The Airlight Pro uses the brand's LightCare™ technology which was developed in collaboration with Zuvi, a hardware startup. Additionally, the brand's latest product was tested on 500 users with various hair types and textures so it can be customized based on unique needs and style choices.

"For over a decade, L'Oréal Research and Innovation has been creating a new Beauty Science powered by Technology: Augmented Beauty. AirLight Pro, with over 150 patents filed, perfectly embodies this breakthrough in beauty by, for the first time, bringing a solution for drying while caring for the hair as well as the planet," says Barbara Lavernos, Deputy CEO in charge of Research, Innovation and Technology at L'Oréal in a press statement.

While the Airlight Pro has yet to hit the market, you can expect it to be available in the US and European markets in 2024.
