Red-hot on the heels of Megan Fox’s racy new hair color debut, Kiley Minogue is the latest celebrity rocking the shade — which is shaping up to be one the hottest hair hues for fall 2023. The pop star debuted electric red tresses on the most recent cover of Rolling Stone.

Sami Knight, the mastermind behind Minogue’s bold crimson color — and stylist to stars like Adele and Jennifer Coolidge — created the hot hue by blending three shades of Arctic Fox's Semi-Permanent Hair Color , per the brand. Specifically, the colors Wrath, Poison, and Ginger Flare, each of which is available at Amazon between $14 and $19 a bottle. The formula boasts nearly 49,000 five-star ratings from shoppers (yes, seriously), who rave about its surprising gentleness and highly pigmented color payoff.

The Arctic Fox Semi-Permanent Hair Color is a bold and bright hair dye that deposits semi-permanent shades that remain vibrant for up to three weeks, per the brand. Available at Amazon in a rainbow of 31 options, the vegan, ammonia-free, and gentle formula has quite the fan following. Notably, the product has wiggle room for creating your own custom hair shade, as the gel-like formulas mix and blend seamlessly together — as Minogue’s tri-color mix proves.

In addition to impressive color payoff, the formula smells surprisingly delightful, shoppers say. Another pleasant surprise: unlike many dyes, which can strip strands of moisture, Arctic Fox’s formula actually softens strands thanks to ingredients like glycerin. As an added bonus, the brand donates 15 percent of its profits to charities that help animals in need, making it an all-around excellent choice for anyone seeking a fun shade switch-up.

It’s worth noting that the dyes work best on pre-lightened or bleached hair, which serves as a canvas for the brightest results. That said, unlike many other, similar color-depositing hair products, Arctic Fox’s can, in fact, also deliver on darker hair. Though less intense, the results are still a subtle, pretty tint. As someone who had a streak with silver-white strands, I’m familiar with similar color-depositing dyes — some of which proved patchier than others, and all of which seemed to fade after about a week or so. I wish I’d nabbed a bottle of Arctic Fox to try, especially in light of its rave reviews.

According to one shopper, the “color is beautiful and long-lasting,” adding that their new shade is still “very vibrant” after five weeks, despite the two to three week wear time listed on the packaging. Plus, the dye smells “amazing,” they noted. According to another reviewer, who used Kiley’s Ginger Flare shade, it’s “the best red” they’ve found “in years.” Moreover, they receive compliments on their color “everywhere [they] go.” Someone else who has been experimenting with various brands’ depositing hair colors for years, says Arctic Fox’s are “hands down the most amazing deposit colors [they’ve] ever found.” Says another shopper, “It’s the least drying, best-smelling [formula], and has the richest color [payoff].”

Fancy trying the flaming hair hue Kylie Minogue and others like Megan Fox are rocking for fall? Shop the Arctic Fox Semi-Permanent Hair Color at Amazon for as low as $14. TBH, I’m itching to dust off my bleach bottles so I can give the raucous red a spin for myself.
