Kylie Jenner Wears a Long Blonde Ponytail for Her Birthday
In a surprise to no one, Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party was over-the-top as Kylie Jenner herself. Between a ball pit, a hand-painted portrait of everyone in attendance, and a guest list that boasted all of the Kardashians, Nicki Minaj, and Winnie Harlow, we woke up on Friday morning feeling just a little salty that our invites got lost in the mail. Sigh.
Thankfully, because these are the Kardashian's and Jenner's we’re talking about, the event (which will now be referred to as “the party of the year”) was painstakingly documented on social media, and there was one thing we couldn’t take our eyes off of: Kylie Jenner’s butt-grazing ponytail.
For starters, her Rapunzel-inspired 'do was platinum blonde, marking the first major color change Kylie has made in months. More importantly, though, her strands stretched all the way down to past her butt and were just sliiiightly shorter than the hot-pink tone dress and rhinestone bodysuit she selected to celebrate in
To create the look, Kylie’s glam squad parted her hair severely on the side and slicked it all the way back. They tied it at the nape of her neck, then wrapped a piece of hair around the base. It seems like Kylie may have borrowed a little inspo from her older sister, seeing as her b-day ‘do is nearly identical to supersize pony Kendall Jenner wore on the Met Gala 2018 red carpet, except for the fact that it's a few (hundred) shades lighter somehow even longer..
Though her ponytail was no doubt the most statement-making part of Kylie’s look, her makeup was equally as gorgeous. She complemented her head-to-toe pink outfits with the same shade on her lids, lips, and cheeks — all of which likely came from her new 21st Birthday Collection. She used rose gold eyeshadow, a matte rose lip, and heavy pink blush, and the whole ensemble gave us serious Barbie vibes in the best way ever.
