Kylie Jenner Takes a Swimwear Lesson from Kim’s Playbook

The Kardashian-Jenners are single-handedly keeping the vintage swimwear market afloat.

With all that’s happened in the world of the Kardashians, it’s easy to forget that it’s only been a few months since Kylie Jenner introduced the world to baby Stormi. Jenner took a bit of a social media break during her pregnancy but has gotten back to her old routine of fashion-filled Instagram posts with a sultry vibe as a new mom. Currently enjoying an getaway with her boyfriend Travis Scott in Turks and Caicos, Jenner updated with an image of herself onboard a yacht in a vintage Dior one-piece. Covered in the brand’s colorful logo, the suit highlighted her curvaceous figure and the love of early aughts nostalgia she shares with big sister Kim.

Much like the logo-print two-pieces Kardashian wore last April during a trip to Mexico, Jenner’s suit revisits a pattern popularized during John Galliano’s tenure at the house. It was used to cover everything from the brand’s famous saddle bags to trenches and bustiers, a mainstay during the days of logomania that still resonates today if the 4 million likes on Jenner’s Instagram post are any indication. With its white stripes and (relatively) modest cut, Jenner’s Dior number offers a counterpoint to Kardashian’s string bikinis. Whichever way you slice it though, their old school selections prove that vintage fashion can garner the best responses.
