Kylie Jenner Shows Off Bright Red Cornrows for Her 19th Birthday
Kylie Jenner debuted a fiery new look just one day before her 19th birthday.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star captioned the pic with a red heart emoji.
This is not the first time Jenner has sported cornrows — and this look appears to be a lace-front wig created by stylist Tokyo Stylez, as he confirmed on his Instagram account — and she’s had some issues with wearing this style before. Last July, Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg claimed that Jenner was “appropriating black culture” by sporting the hairstyle without doing anything to help the community.
Meanwhile, the star’s boyfriend, Tyga, presented her with a $200,000 Mercedes-Maybach for her birthday. Kylie posted a video on Instagram of her on-again-off-again boyfriend surprising her with the expensive gift.
She later posted a video on Snapchat saying, “Happy early birthday to me. Yay! I love you, T,” and a picture of the car interior with the caption “Almost too boss for me.”
With Kylie’s net worth reportedly coming in at around $6.5 million, there’s no shortage of expensive cars and toys at her disposal. Tyga’s present comes just days after the teen treated herself to a custom-made Land Rover, which features flat-screen TVs, two-tone leather seats, and glows purple in the dark from the inside.
Kylie’s collection of luxe cars already includes a Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz wagon, a Rolls-Royce Ghost, and the $320,000 white Ferrari given to her by Tyga for her 18th birthday.
“It’s probably way too many cars for a young woman, but I love them and I love cars, so it is what it is,” she said last year.
