Kylie Jenner Removed Her Lip Filler

“😳😳🙂”

Kylie Jenner is officially filler-free.

After posting a photo of herself with her friend Anastasia "Stassie" Karanikolaou to Instagram on Sunday night, a commenter noted that the youngest Jenner "looks like the old Kylie" in the shot. Kylie responded directly to the comment, writing, "I got rid of all my filler 😳😳🙂," as Instagram account @commentsbycelebs noticed.

Obviously Kylie still looks gorgeous, and her fans seem to agree. Many took to Twitter to share their support of the Kylie Cosmetics mogul's decision to go au natural. "@KylieJenner looks absolutely beautiful without the filler, personally I’m loving the new look😍😍," one user wrote. Others wondered if this might mean that the over-lined lip trend (which began, in large part, thanks to Kylie) is on its way out. "I wonder if people will start to want small lips again now Kylie Jenner’s taken all her filler out 🤔," one fan mused.

Kylie has been outspoken in the past about her decision to get fillers in the first place, and admitted in a 2015 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that it stemmed from insecurity. "I have temporary lip fillers, it's just an insecurity of mine and it's what I wanted to do," she explained in the episode, which marked the first time Kylie shared the information publicly.

Two years later, the reality star discussed the decision even further on an episode of Life of Kylie. "I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips," she said. "I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.’ But I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me. I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would over-line my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips. And then finally I was like this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done." She later revealed that her insecurities about her lips also inspired her to create the very first Kylie Cosmetics lip kit.

Of course, filler or no filler, the only thing that matters is that Kylie feels good about herself and her lips. And if her personal experiences inspire her to continue creating beauty products she can then share with the world, more power to her.
