Kylie Jenner Is Launching New Spring Lip Kit Colors
Leave it to Kylie Jenner to out-do, well herself, when it comes to spring lip color trends. On Monday night, she unveiled four new shades joining the Kylie Lip Kit lineup, and they are exactly what your makeup bag is craving after this seemingly endless winter.
The makeup mogul took to Instagram on Monday night to show off the new additions, all of which launch on April 10th. While three out of the four were conventionally springtime hues — pink, nude, and cherry red — the one that caught our attention was "Ironic," a matte olive green that's totally different than any other Kylie Cosmetics formula we've ever seen before.
Kylie shared a swatch of each shade to her Instagram Story, and the results were seriously stunning; In the tube, "Ironic" looks like a dusty pistachio shade, but when swatched on bare skin, it reads warmer and a bit darker — and surprisingly wearable? Joining the just-weird-enough-to-work shade are "Say No More," a bright velvety fuchsia; "Boss," a matte cherry red which Kylie herself wore in an Instagram shot; and "Bare," a beige-y nude that fans have been asking Kylie Cosmetics to bring back after the brand discontinued the shade.
These days, there's no shortage of celeb-approved options for anyone looking to go green with their makeup: The announcement of Kylie's forthcoming launch comes a few months after Rihanna debuted a green Mattemoiselle lipstick called "Midnight Wasabi" for Fenty Beauty, though the Fenty version is arguably more of a darker jade color than Kylie Cosmetics' creamy olive version. Consider this an excuse to buy both.
