Kylie Jenner Is Launching a Kylie Cosmetics Makeup Collection Inspired by Daughter Stormi

Apparently while gestating a baby, Kylie Jenner was also putting together her latest Kylie Cosmetics collection. On February 22, the new mom revealed her latest makeup line on social media, and everything in the holographic-packaged set pays adorable homage to her newborn baby, Stormi, who is not even a month old. "I spent a lot of time on this collection, and I put a lot of detail into it," the 20-year-old shared on Kylie Cosmetics' Instagram Story. "So I'll do my best to try to show you guys all the fun details."

After her big, multi-part reveal on Instagram last week, Allure editors finally got to check out the Weather Collection for themselves before it hits digital shelves on Wednesday, February 28. Yellow has been my power color as of late, so I was excited to experiment with the bold shade in the form of a gel liner, eye shadow, and highlighter.

The latter, in particular, got us most excited. Kylie Cosmetics is dropping a yellow-gold shade of the popular Loose Powder Highlighter formula called Lightning Bolt. It will ring up at $14, making it the most affordable item in the collection. I was nervous about what a yellow-based highlighter would look like on, but it reads more like champagne than dandelion on all skin tones. The name is fitting because the shimmer-packed powder makes cheekbones look as strikingly blinding as a lightning bolt in the sky. A more subtle version of the shade is also included in the new Highlighter Palette ($44), which is complete with four fresh shades of pressed illuminating powders. All are incredibly silky and blendable.

A similarly smooth powder formula is featured in the two storm-themed palettes on deck. Like the popular Kat Von D MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette, the Calm Before the Storm Eyeshadow Palette ($40) is all about coordinating matte and metallic pastel shades. You can see swatches of all the shades below. I'm drooling over that golden yellow and its matching metallic gold shadow. The pairings are perfect for a halo eye makeup look.

Another yellow shade appears in the Eye of the Storm Eyeshadow Palette ($40). However, it's brighter and more unapologetically yellow. It's joined by a golden army green that will change your mind about green eye shadow, an intensely pigmented foiled silver, and a twinkling eggplant. Again, you can find swatches of all 10 shades from the set below. You can pair it with the new Yellow Creme Gel Eyeliner Pot, which will also be dropping as part of the Weather Collection. It's one of the most opaque yellow cream liners I've used. (And trust me, I've used a handful.)

That's not all for lids. You'll soon be able to drench them in shimmer thanks to a new addition to the Kylie Cosmetics family (see what I did there) called Glitter Eyes ($40), too. The supermetallic cream shadows come packaged in two different duos: a more neutral one that includes Superstar (a champagne) and Twinkle Twinkle (a "fiery salmon," according to Allure's digital beauty editor, Sable Yong), which is probably the name of the lullaby Travis Scott has been singing to Stormi. The other duo is bolder with a bronze called Destiny and a duochrome blue called Violet Moon.

Jenner also posted a look using Violet Moon, and I may or may not be drooling. Those metallic wings are exactly the look I'm trying to go for this spring.

Of course, Jenner didn't forget about lips. The Weather Collection touts four new lip products. Three of those are new shades of the sold-out, traditional lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics. All have a brand-new matte formula, and the bullets are embossed with lightning strikes. This collection really is all about the details. The lipsticks will come in a pitch black called Nightfall, a deep beige dubbed Cosmic, and a peachy nude named Nova. You can check out what both the bullets and swatches look like below.

You can top any of those shades with the Flash Glitter Gloss ($16). In the tube, it looks like a pearly white. On lips, it shifts colors from gold to petal pink to copper. Pictures of it truly don't do it justice. I like using it on its own so you can fully appreciate its color-changing pigments.

You can see Allure editors unbox and swatch everything from Kylie Cosmetics' new Weather Collection in the video below. Everything launched on February 28, exclusively on Kyliecosmetics.com and quickly sold out. Luckily, the line will be back in stock at 3 p.m. PST today, March 9.
