Kylie Jenner Launches New Beauty Series Following Criticism on TikTok

If there's one thing Miss Kylie Jenner knows how to do, it's CLAP 👏 BACK 👏. While celebs try to stay out of drama, sometimes a response is warranted — and we can't help but applaud the way Kylie handles criticism. Case in point: how she responded to a TikTok user mocking her lips. After receiving negative feedback on a GRWM video she shot in her car, Kylie created a new beauty series based on the very idea she was shaded for.
"So last time I did a TikTok in the car, it seemed to just piss some people off," she explained in her September 13 TikTok. "I think some people thought it was fake and I really don't drive myself which is just silly."
The video she is referring to is an upload from August 26, when the beauty mogul took to TikTok to announce her beauty brand’s new lip blush shades. She filmed herself from inside her car, and as she tried to prop her phone up by the steering wheel, the device fell from her dashboard. Kylie laughed the situation off, fixing her phone into a more stable position before saying, “OK, this is better. I’m just inside my car." Though the video was about lip colors, the comment section focused on her mishap claiming that the star whose net worth is $700 million was trying to seem more relatable. TikTok users even claimed that Kylie intentionally dropped her phone. Jenner clapped back at the time with a comment that read, “It’s really not that deep or calculated. This video took me 5 mins to make. And yes i still drive and do normal things 🤣.”
Now, The Kardashians star has announced that she's starting a series called "Kylie in the Kar" (kause you kan't have a KarJenner production with a 'K', of course). While we don't know all of the details yet, it seems like this series will mostly revolve around showing off new Kylie Cosmetics goodies and makeup looks from her car.
For her inaugural episode, Kylie tried out a Matte Lip Crayon from her new collab with Kris Jenner (aka the Kris Collection, which they shot promos for in matching corsets). She describes the color named But As Her Manager as being "orangey-red," which is "matte and comfortable." Kylie praises her mom's limited-edition line, saying "Kris Jenner, you killed it with this."
