Kylie Jenner is getting some pretty intense criticism on social media for allegedly (emphasis on allegedly!) taking a 17-minute flight in her private jet. Which, obviously, isn't the best for the environment (that is an....understatement).

According to Twitter account @CelebJets, which tracks celebrity planes using available flight patterns, Kylie flew from Camarillo to Van Nuys, California, last week. The flight was initially estimated to take about 3 minutes, though Page Six reports that @CelebJets later clarified it took more like 17 minutes.

Twitter was quick to call Kylie out for the fuel use and CO2 emission for such a short trip, noting that "80% of people have never taken a plane and Kylie Jenner is out here taking regular 10 minute flights, 5 flights in the last week under 30 minutes, one was 3 minutes long. Her carbon footprint for one ten minute flight, is more than some people make in a year."

And another Twitter user said, "Europe is on fire, meanwhile Kylie Jenner is taking 15 minute trips in her private jet. I could recycle everything, buy all my clothes second hand, compost and grow my own food for the rest of my life and it wouldn’t even begin to offset the footprint from one of her flights."

More reactions ahead:

Kylie hasn't commented on the backlash to her private jet use as of yet. Earlier this week, she posted a photo of herself and Travis Scott standing next to both of their jets with the caption "you wanna take mine or yours ?" TBD on if that picture is related to the short trip she allegedly took!
