It’s been five months since the Jordyn Woods/Tristan Thompson kissing scandal that shook the world, but Kylie Jenner appears to have a positive outlook on the whole situation. While Jenner hasn’t totally cut Woods out of her life since the drama, she’s apparently realized that her super-close friendship with her former BFF may have not been entirely healthy.

“[Kylie] realized there were moments in her life that it was just her family and Jordyn [and] she had become codependent. … She has a great network she wasn’t seeing,” a source told Us Weekly. “She’ll always care about Jordyn and she only wants the best for her. She’s only sending positivity to Jordyn, but it’s too soon to say [if] they’ll be able to fully reconcile. But time heals a lot of wounds, and the Kardashian/Jenners are a forgiving family.”

Jenner recently opened up with her sister Khloé about how the scandal has affected them on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, admitting that her friendship with Jordyn held her back from experiencing life.

“She was my security blanket. She lived with me, we did everything together. I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn, I don’t need anything else,’” she admitted. “I feel like there’s a part of me that needed to grow without her. And sometimes people are there for certain reasons and certain times of your life and not for others.”

As for Woods, she also seems to be doing some growing without Jenner by her side. As Us Weekly reported, she recently landed a role on the Freeform series Grown-ish in addition to working on her other business ventures.

“Jordyn has been trying to show the world that she isn’t riding on the Jenner-Kardashian coattails any longer,” a source said. “And that she’s doing her own thing and living her life comfortably.”
