Kylie Jenner Debuts Icy Blue Hair on Instagram

Kylie Jenner is never afraid to take a risk with her look. In the past, the makeup mogul has had neon yellow hair, gone pink, and even experimented with silver locks. While some of those colors were thanks to wigs, Kylie’s latest shade looks like it’s here to stay — and it’s a total throwback to some of her most iconic looks.

Kylie, who has been rocking blonde hair for the past few months after a brief flirtation with pastel pink, debuted her new baby blue hair color on Instagram on Sunday, December 30 — just in time for the new year. She documented the process of touching up her roots with bleach on her Instagram Stories, but totally surprised fans with the final shade.

The icy-cool hue, paired with Kylie’s current bob cut, is totally chill (pun intended) for the winter months and looks perfect on her; we can’t wait to see the makeup looks she creates to go with her new color. When your hair is bleached as light as Kylie’s currently is, it’s easy to experiment with the entire pastel rainbow, and we’re loving her decision to go blue.

The blue bob also reminds us of Kylie’s teal hair from back in 2014; it’s a look that was majorly popular with her fans, and one of the first times the reality star went wild with her look. The icy blue color is clearly one of Kylie’s faves; she rocked baby blue hair back in 2015 too.

Given Kylie’s track record for setting trends, and her fans’ enthusiastic response to the new shade, we’ve got a feeling that ice blue may be one of the biggest hair colors of 2019 — that is until Kylie, ever the beauty chameleon, changes things up again.
