Kyla Massie of K-Pop Group Pristin Shares Her Favorite Skin-Care Products on Twitter

Like many K-pop stars, Pristin's Kyla Massie shares cute selfies, pictures of her dog, and short messages for fans on her personal Twitter account. However, she just used the social platform in a way no idol has ever used it before. The 17-year-old shared her complete skin-care routine, products and all, for achieving clear, glowing skin.

As someone who often talks to K-pop stars about their skin-care regimen, I can attest to how difficult it is to get them to share what they slather on their glass-skin faces. Endorsement deals usually prevent them from doing so. With Pristin on a bit of a hiatus at the moment, Kyla decided to share everything in her current routine for dry, sensitive skin, including her favorite toners and masks from Korean and U.S. brands.

1. Cleansing

Like many people, including myself, Kyla kicks off the process with double cleansing. First, she removes her makeup with the Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Cream and follows it up with the Foaming Cleanser from the same line. Some days, she adds the Dr.G Crystal Deep Peeling gentle scrub to the mix to exfoliate.

Kyla even shared an accessible drugstore option: Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Pure-Castile Liquid Soap. Although "you can use this for literally anything," Kyla wrote, she prefers it as a face wash.

2. Toner and Essence

After washing her face, Kyla reaches for toner. Her go-to option is the Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner. "It's a mild toner that also slightly exfoliates, thanks to the AHA and BHA," she explained. For those unfamiliar, AHA stands for alpha hydroxy acids and includes glycolic, lactic, and citric acids. BHA, on the other hand, is shorthand for beta hydroxy acids, like salicylic. Both acids, like she briefly mentioned, gently slough off dead skin cells and brighten.

From the drugstore, she likes the beloved Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner. It typically rings up at around $4 and helps remove excess oil from acne-prone skin.

To lock moisture into her skin after toning, Kyla pats on the Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence. It's spiked with 90 percent fermented yeast to help skin retain hydration.

3. Moisturizer

Next comes moisturizers, Kyla is all about antioxidant-rich green tea. In the A.M., Innisfree's Balancing Emulsion With Green Tea is her selection.

At night, she favors Tonymoly's Chok Chok Green Tea Intense Cream. Sadly, it's not available in the U.S., but the lighter version, the Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream, is. As for her drugstore choice, she mentioned Cetaphil's cream and lotion.

4. SPF

Every amazing skin-care routine requires a sun-protection step as Kyla is well aware. "It's so, so, so important to use sunscreen daily (even if it's cloudy)," she shared. "I noticed a drastic difference in my skin after religiously applying sunscreen." Cosrx's Aloe Soothing Sun Cream is a staple on her vanity. It's infused with healing aloe and touts SPF 50.

Bonus: Masks

Kyla didn't mention how often she masks, but she did share what she uses when she does. After her nighttime routine, she loves layering on The Crème Shop's Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask. When she's traveling, the I'm Sorry For My Skin Jelly Masks are her favorite sheet masks.

For something more intense, she mixes the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, which is one of the most popular beauty products on Amazon, with apple cider vinegar. "Great cost and good for all skin," she added.

Although these are her chosen products at the moment, "I do have to admit that it was mainly thanks to Accutane that my skin is so clear now," Kyla wrote. K-pop stars rarely talk about [oral acne treatments](https://www.allure.com/gallery/the-best-treatments-for-every-kind-of-acne. "These products help a lot, but I would recommend talking to your doctor/dermatologist to find out what's best for you" she added. Fans went on to hail their "queen of skin care" in the replies.
