Kushner calls Palestinians "foolish" for rejecting peace plan
"I think also the Palestinians probably need a little time to take a cold shower and to, kind of, digest the plan, read it," Kushner said in an exclusive interview with Reuters on Tuesday
Kushner is U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law, and spent three years working on the plan unveiled this week in a joint news conference by Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The plan would extend Israeli sovereignty over swaths of the occupied West Bank, premising eventual Palestinian statehood on further negotiations.
Netanyahu praised the proposal as the "opportunity of the century."
But the Palestinian Authority president responded by saying his people's rights were not for sale, and Palestinians set posters of Trump on fire in the streets of Gaza City and Ramallah.
